a retro-technology trend

This collection interpreted a predicted trend for Autunm Winter 2012/13 presented in MIX magazine. As the name suggests the trend harks back to early technology both mechanical and computerized. The eight colour palette is both vibrant and primary. The collection is divided up into smaller thematic designs based upon different interpretations of the overall theme such as tetris, dot matrix and pixels. A simple mechanical devise for generating patterns; a spiral draw was used to create one of the print designs by scanning individual spirals then assembling them in layers on the computer.
