Rachel Richardson-Jones is a UK-based surface designer who works with brands to create unique prints, enhancing products, and adding value and desirability with pattern.​

 

Through carefully engineered surface design, she communicates concepts, increases aesthetic appeal and elevates products beyond functionality. To enhance enjoyment and user experience, her products feature a degree of configurability, through interchangeable pattern or reversibility. Her prime inspiration comes from exploring camouflage theory and optical effects to create highly evolved outcomes.

 

Rachel has also designed her own range of design-led home accessories; bone china tableware, cushions and serving trays, featuring patterns from two collections Dazzle Blue and Camoufleur. Both collections are inspired by disruptive pattern, ground blending and optical effects, with each product carefully designed to encourage interaction. She would like you to;
